The Alliance of Agriculture for Food (AAF), Nepal is a platform that amplifies the collective voice of the general public, farmers, and farming communities to raise awareness about the importance of agriculture for food. Through policy dialogue, advocacy campaigns, and awareness programs, the Alliance seeks to influence policymakers and promote effective policy measures that strengthen food and agriculture. It brings forward priority issues based on the shared perspectives of its partners, facilitates the exchange of experiences among practitioners, and encourages public discussion on policy challenges and issues affecting the food and agriculture sector. Based on the changing landscape of food and agriculture in Nepal, the Alliance of Agriculture for Food has been publishing the Food and Agriculture Fact Sheet annually to promote critical awareness of key agricultural issues and to generate constructive policy pressure at all levels for the advancement of the agricultural sector. This publication compiles and summarizes key facts and statistics in one place for annual public dissemination. Prepared by the Secretariat of the Alliance, this edition presents the Food and Agriculture Fact Sheet, 2024, covering various dimensions of Nepal's food and agriculture sector.
